A major highlight of the opening ceremony at PIFA2023 was a series of nine Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) signed between AVLIAS and 9 other industry trade associations from Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, to work together to promote, educate and grow their business communities. 

“AVLIAS is pleased to sign nine MOUs at the first-ever PIFA to form local and regional alliances that will help grow vibrant communities across multiple industries and the AVL sector. We look forward to these partnerships as we strive to create amazing experiences and continue to establish new alliances in this space,” said George Lin, president, AVLIAS.

Established since 1973, Association of Electronic Industries (AEIS), a non-profit organisation, is also the only association which represents the electronics industry and business in Singapore. AEIS represents all facets of the electronics and supporting services industries. It covers manufacturers of industries electronics, electronic components and consumer electronics products as well as industrial companies.

Established on 15 May 2019, The Defence Industries Association (T19SS0089E) was created to effectively represent local companies (manufacturers / operators / legislators) in the military / home team / securities arena as none had previously existed.

By Land, Sea or Air, the Defence Industries Association covers a wide band ranging from Drone Surveillance surveys/services and defense related equipment such as security cameras and night vision goggles. 

Established since 1932, Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) represents the interests of the Singapore manufacturing community, driving its competitiveness and sustainable growth through serving industry-specific needs. Supported by 10 industry groups and 7 Centres of Excellence, SMF offers a holistic approach towards enhancing competitiveness of its members. Current membership stands at more than 3,000 corporate members ranging from SMEs to MNCs.

Incorporated since 1982, Singapore Industrial Automation Association is a professional association for companies and professionals in the Automation, Internet-of-Things (IoT) and Robotics sectors. To date, SIAA has about 500 active member companies and professionals, representing different industry verticals such as smart cities, buildings, logistics, retail, transportation, tourism, healthcare, and manufacturing.

SGTech is a premier trade association for the tech industry in Singapore. Within a rapidly evolving technology landscape, SGTech strives to create an ecosystem that anticipates trends and develops sustainable initiatives to strengthen the community and help the industry grow.

SGTech’s 800+ members range from innovative start-ups, vibrant small and medium-sized enterprises to top multinational corporations that leverage technology as a core driver of their business.

The Singaporean-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (SGC) is part of a network of 140 offices of the German bilateral Chambers of Industry and Commerce abroad in 92 countries. The Chamber is one of the largest national Business Chambers in Singapore with a membership of close to 550 representatives from a variety of industries from Germany and Singapore. The SGC is a valuable and well established networking platform and well connected with authorities in Singapore and Germany. Through its active industry committees SGC gives a voice to businesses. With its distinct service unit and trade fairs arms – DEinternational and Fairs & More respectively – the SGC builds a primary source for receiving reliable information on the German and Singapore business environment as well as bilateral trade relations.
